Pumice-crete is a masonry material used for building the walls of residential and commercial buildings. They have the advantage of not being rigid and so can be built up into domes, vaults, and arches. Traditionally they were made of burlap bags, but for rot-resistance, polypropylene bags are now more commonly used.
